“Mom, I’m Gay” – Help for Mom’s of LGBTQ Children

What does a Christian mom do when your child (youth or adult) tells you they associate themselves with the LGBTQ community? How do you tell your friends, your family, your church? How do you battle the feeling of isolation, that you are the only Christian mom you know that is struggling with this? How do you deal with the toll it can take on your marriage? What do all those letters even mean? This session will focus on sharing resources, support networks and real stories of other moms. Whether your son or daughter has come to you and said they are gay, bi-sexual, transgender or gender-queer, we’ll talk about what it means, and help you to know you are not alone.
